Free Webinar: November 16, 10:00 CT

Associations support and serve various communities made up of a variety of groups from all different professions, skills, cultures and backgrounds. It only makes sense that the association’s board reflects that diversity.

So how can you improve board diversity?

The Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB) began working on the organization’s board diversity in 2012. After a board assessment, they identified some key issues, including outdated governance and a limited board member pipeline and took a holistic approach to use their nomination and election process along with their governance structure to achieve the end goal of a diverse board.

Join Sidecar, Veronica Meadows, CAE, CLARB Chief Strategy Officer and Andrea Elkin, CLARB PMO Manager as we dive deep into how CLARB worked to create the solution of diversifying and vetting their board, the challenges they faced and how they solved them while staying focused on CLARB’s governance restructure goals.

In this one-hour webinar, you'll learn:

How one organization changed their governance structure to meet the strategic goals of the organization, including increasing diversity on their board within a few short years of making changes.
How to develop techniques to reduce bias and create transparency in your governance process, as well as onboard a diverse group of leaders.
About tools that will help create an objective process that ties the strategic needs of your organization to your leadership selection process.
